Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and material staging
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to perform tasks such as framing, roofing, concrete finishing, and masonry
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute project specifications accurately
- Perform various construction tasks including carpentry (frame, trim, door hanging), drywall installation, stucco application, and plastering
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations
- Install fixtures such as cabinets, glass panels, doors, flooring, tiles, and countertops with precision
- Support demolition, restoration projects, or remodeling efforts by handling demolition debris or preparing surfaces for finishing
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with knowledge of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy equipment operation
- Familiarity with construction management processes including estimating and inspection procedures
- Skills in specialized areas such as plumbing, electrical systems, welding, or masonry are highly desirable
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining safety protocols at all times
- Strong physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, working at heights, or in confined spaces
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving
