Position Summary
This is a grant funded position that reports to the Director of Behavioral Health Coordination and will take on the role of Project Director (PD) for the System of Care (SOC) Expansion and Sustainability Grant. The PD will work under executive direction to plan and coordinate with local government agencies, behavioral health providers, and social service agencies to facilitate collaboration among all partners at the local level regarding children/youth/young adults (birth to 21 years of age) and family behavioral health services to meet the goals of the SOC grant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the System of Care (SOC) initiative, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local priorities.
- Develop and sustain strong cross-sector partnerships with community stakeholders, including schools, behavioral health providers, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations.
- Engage and support advisory groups, including youth and caregivers with lived experience (e.g., Parent and Young Adult Advisory Board), in program planning and evaluation.
- Direct budget development, monitoring, and fiscal oversight of grant funds, including subawards, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and alignment with program goals.
- Ensure compliance with all grant requirements (e.g., SAMHSA), including reporting, documentation, performance measures, and allowable use of funds.
- Lead data-driven decision-making by overseeing data collection, evaluation activities, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Guide community outreach, training initiatives, and communication strategies to increase awareness, strengthen workforce capacity, and elevate family voice.
- Identify system gaps, barriers, and inequities, and lead strategic planning efforts to improve access, coordination, and outcomes within the behavioral health system.
- Convene and facilitate cross-sector committees and workgroups (e.g., workforce development, advisory councils), ensuring progress toward shared goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of general office procedures and the operation of standard office equipment. Individual should be proficient at Microsoft Word and Excel, at minimum.
- Ability to develop a working knowledge of the county's behavioral health services and programs and community resources
- Strong active listening, excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, other employees, and community members
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience in the field(s) of behavioral health, public health, grant management, or related field
- Prior experience with community-level and/or large-scale project planning and grant management experience preferred.
Physical Attributes/Demands
This position requires activities such as sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing stairs and lifting light to medium objects, operating office equipment, and driving an automobile.
Work Environment
The work is largely performed in an office setting but may also include meetings in various community settings. The work involves exposure to normal, everyday risks that require normal safety precautions typical of offices. Travel will be reimbursed if it is needed for the position's duties. Some remote work is possible for this position
