Job Description:
McLaughlin Research Corp. has an opening for an EMC Engineering Technician. This role will serve to primarily support the Principal Engineer overseeing the EMC program.
- Assist Engineer with Troubleshooting submarine CASREPS and SUBs casualty messages
- Assist Engineer with EMI testing and troubleshooting teams on U.S. submarines, dockside and at sea.
- Perform MIL-STD-461 EMC testing on submarine equipment.
- Build EMI-hardened test kits for submarine sonar and communications.
- Assist Engineer with ensuring effective coordination of dockside and shipyard project activities
- Assist Engineer with development of presentations, test reports, trip reports, and other EMC documentation.
- Applicant will be required to work as part of a team tasked to assemble, install and operate complex mechanical components in support of operational, performance and qualification testing.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus.
- The applicant must be eligible for a security clearance up to and including Secret level.
