- Compounds radioactive materials into radiopharmaceuticals according to established policies and procedures.
- Performs a variety of highly technical tasks to ensure radiochemical purity and create pyrogen free products for administration to humans and animals.
- Analytical ability to gather and interpret data from various equipment readouts, and laboratory tests and evaluate results.
- Operate laboratory, nuclear medicine and quality assurance/equipment.
- Operate and utilize department equipment such as the cyclotron to produce radioactive materials and compound into products of desired diagnostic quality.
- Adhere to all KCI policies and procedures.
Required:
- Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or equivalent education/and or experience, and completion of accredited Technologist Program.
- Registered as a Medical Technologist with the ASCP, Canadian CSMLS, National Certifying Agency, or registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Must have working knowledge of Nuclear Regulatory Commission ( NCR ), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP), United Stated Pharmacopeia (USP) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.
