- Follows department cleaning and floor care maintenance procedures for assigned areas.
- Maintains hard floor and carpet surfaces: strips, cleans, waxes and buffs floors; vacuums and cleans carpets, in some cases operates power driven equipment such as floor scrubber and buffer and maintains such equipment.
- Cleans stairwells, cleans corridors and elevators.
- Cleans furniture.
- Disposes of trash, biomedical and solid waste materials to appropriate disposal areas.
- Moves furniture and equipment as requested.
- Alerts supervisor of potential problems and safety hazards.
- Performs other related duties as required and directed.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One-year of floor care maintenance experience.
- One-year experience in housekeeping or janitorial services
