What are the responsibilities and job description for the Perioperative Orderly position at McLaren Health Care?
Under the direction of a registered nurse, responsible for providing support to nursing staff and assisting in the delivery of patient care following departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Transports patients.
• Performs basic patient care duties.
• Performs general unit support activities such as cleaning of rooms, running errands, stocking supplies.
• Assists with basic desk duties such as answering phones and order entry.
• Performs other related responsibilities as necessary.
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification as Healthcare Provider or equivalent through the Military Training Network (MTN).
Preferred:
• Patient care experience in acute care setting.
