Position Summary:

Responsibilities:
- Collect, record and maintain sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history and reports.
- Provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate and effective for the treatment of health problems and the promotion of health.
- Diagnosis, work-up management and treatment of definitive cancers, recurrent and metastatic cancers, and post-operative treatment of patients
- Effectively communicate and demonstrate a caring and respectful behavior when interacting with patients and their families
- Gather essential information about their patients
- Make informed decisions about diagnostic and therapeutic interventions based on patient information, preferences, recent scientific evidence and clinical judgement.
- Perform competently all medical and invasive procedures considered essential for the area of practice.
- Develop and carry out patient management plans.
- Use information technology to support patient care decisions and patient education.
- Assist in providing health care services aimed at preventing health problems and maintaining health.
- Work with other health care professionals including those from other disciplines to provide patient focused care.
- Counsel patients with assistance regarding treatment options and obtaining informed consent.
- Respond to after-hours calls from patients at home, and advise appropriate action.
- Adhere to all KCI policies and procedures.
- License to practice medicine (MD or DO) in the State of Michigan.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
