Responsible to assure the flow of communication through the department in the absence of supervisory staff. Maintains cleanliness of hospital facilities following hospital, departmental, and regulatory agency requirements. - Communicates with co-workers in the absence of immediate supervisor. Coordinates pre-scheduled assignments and work flow with on duty / on call supervisor and co-workers.
- Answers, dispatches and documents pager and discharge requests to appropriate Environmental Service staff.
- Distributes and collects assignment sheets, pagers and keys.
- Communicates inventory needs to the immediate supervisor.
- Maintains registers, logs, and other documentation related to the work.
- Performs essential responsibilities of Environmental Service Technician I or Technician II as appropriate.
- Performs other related responsibilities as necessary, which may be or have been assigned by departmental supervisor.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One year housekeeping experience .
- Coursework in team leadership.
- Team leader experience.
