Staff Accountant – Trust Operations
Manchester, NH | Full-Time | In-Office
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 annually (based on experience)

Responsibilities
- Manage IOLTA Trust Accounts in compliance with regulations and firm policies
- Coordinate incoming wires (retainers, escrow transactions) and communicate with legal teams
- Apply trust funds to client matters and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Prepare and verify wire instructions; confirm details with clients
- Initiate wire transfers and support approval workflows
- Review disbursements for proper classification and W-9 compliance
- Process electronic deposits and trust account payments
- Partner with attorneys on trust balances, distributions, and account activity
- Support month-end close (reconciliations, reporting, follow-ups)
- Distribute monthly trust balance reports to attorneys and leadership
- Assist with trust account closures and return of client funds
- Prepare annual unclaimed property filings
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2 years of experience in a law firm, banking, or professional services environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and client-service mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
- Trust accounting or banking experience preferred
