Commercial Construction Carpenter

We’re looking for a Carpenter who is skilled, safety-minded, and takes real pride in the craft — someone who shows up ready to work and leaves every job site better than they found it.

The title is Carpenter. The real job is building with precision, keeping the site safe, and making every project something to be proud of.

Your Day-to-Day

Carpentry Work

• Performs carpentry duties across the full range of project needs — framing, formwork, backing, blocking, sheathing, door installation, casework, trim, hardware, partitions, and paneling
• Measures, cuts, and assembles materials using hand and power tools with accuracy
• Operates and maintains tools in good working order at all times
• Maintains a clean, organized work area and assists with general site clean-up
• Follows all MCL Construction safety policies and wears required PPE at all times
  
  

Team and Site Support

• Communicates clearly with team members, supervisors, and foremen to keep work moving safely and on track
• Assists other craft workers as needed and steps up when the project demands it
• Shares knowledge and provides guidance to less experienced crew members
• Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and teamwork on every job site
  
  

On Every Project

• Work independently or with the crew depending on what the job needs
• Travel between job sites in and around the Omaha area as projects require
• Hold yourself to a high standard — quality, safety, and professionalism every day
  
  

The Right Fit

You're a Strong Fit If You

• Some carpentry or construction experience — the more the better, but we hire across experience levels
• Hands-on background in commercial construction with demonstrated proficiency in hand and power tools
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings (preferred for more experienced candidates)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality — you don’t cut corners
• A team player who communicates well and earns the trust of the crew around you
• Safety-aware — you know the rules, follow them, and look out for the people working next to you
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between job sites
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred — but experience and skill matter more
