Job Summary:
- Coordination and participation in patient care activities on a nursing unit, or house-wide, during a specific shift; participation in Nursing Administration operations as a member of the management team.
- Offers instruction, support and care to patient, family and/or significant others who are experiencing disease processes and treatments.
- Assesses care and serves as a resource and support for hospital clients and staff.
- Provides appropriate direct instruction and orientation for nursing staff.
- Responsibility for house-wide supervision of patient care during an 8- or 12-hour shift to ensure healthcare is delivered in a caring, safe, expedient and efficient manner.
- Serves as a liaison between nursing management, staffing and unit patient care coordinators.
Educational/Licensing:
- Nursing school graduate.
- Licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS required.
Qualifications:
- Three to five years pertinent clinical/management experience.
- Clinical excellence, leadership abilities, teaching competency, critical thinking and excellent communication skills.
