Job Summary:
- The Director of Quality Management is responsible for planning, administration and monitoring of consistent readiness of all quality management, regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes.
- The Director will oversee and coordinate all hospital effort to monitor and maintain compliance with all regulatory, state, federal government and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization Standards.
- The position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Office.
Education/Licensing:
- RN license required.
- Bachelor's degree required, Masters Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Process improvement training preferred.
- Current BLS.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years in an acute care facility.
- Demonstrates a clear working knowledge of general hospital operations, TJC, OSHA, Medicare COP and state requirements.
- Minimum of two years experience in Quality Management preferred.
- Must have coordinated TJC preparation and participated in State and CMS surveys within the past three years.
- Highly organized; efficient and effective use of time and resources.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate teams, work with individuals having diverse needs/interests.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple work demands in fast paced environment.
- Ability to delegate appropriately.
- Ability to research and obtain needed information on broad range of topics.
- Advanced knowledge of performance improvement and risk management techniques, tools and principles.
- Advanced understanding/application of statistical methodologies. Ability to establish short- and long-term departmental goals in alignment with organizations strategic plan.
- Ability to act decisively and appropriately when the situation requires.
