We are seeking an energetic and visionary Head Chef with experience working a jamaican take out restaurant. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu creation and food preparation to staff supervision and quality control. The Head Chef will also manage inventory, uphold food safety protocols, and innovate menu offerings that delight our guests. MUST HAVE 3-5 YEARS OF HEAD CHEF EXPERIENCE IN A JAMAICAN RESTAURANT!!!!
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring dishes are prepared with precision, presentation, and adherence to dietary requirements
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, minimizing waste, and maintaining optimal stock levels
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen operations
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, delivering exceptional service for large-scale functions
Experience
- Must have 3-5 years of head chef experience working in a Caribbean/Jamaican restaurant
- Must holds a food handlers permit/certification
- Catering experience, managing large-scale event catering with attention to detail and quality assurance
- Familiarity with dietary department protocols and accommodating special dietary needs effectively
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, food safety standards, and food industry best practices
- Experience in restaurant management roles involving menu planning, shift oversight, and food service coordination
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage multiple priorities, and uphold high standards of hospitality

Pay: $195.00 - $200.00 per day
