The Ag Expo Facilities Staff is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall readiness of the McKenzie County Ag Expo Facility before, during, and after events. This position helps ensure the facility is clean, safe, welcoming, and prepared for a wide variety of public events, meetings, livestock activities, exhibitions, and rentals. Responsibilities include routine custodial duties, event setup and teardown, and maintaining the surrounding grounds as assigned.
While this position is primarily assigned to the Ag Expo Facility, employees may be temporarily assigned to assist with cleaning or event support, at other McKenzie County buildings as operational needs require.
This position reports to the Facilities Director and is based in Watford City, North Dakota. Work schedules are driven by the Ag Expo event calendar and facility operations, which occur seven days per week. Scheduled hours will vary and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event needs. Employees are not expected to work seven days per week but must be available to work weekends and flexible hours as events require.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform cleaning, dusting, and related activities; such as wipe furniture; sweep,
mop, or vacuum floors.
- Empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers
- Clean windows, walls and doors
- Clean, sanitize and maintain bathrooms using specific procedures and products, refill restroom dispensers.
- Deep clean the microwave, fridge and cupboards and all kitchen areas
- Operate floor scrubbers and other equipment
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to report to Watford City, ND daily at required schedule time
- Organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Must be a self-starter and goal oriented
- Knowledge of chemicals and cleaning supplies
- Knowledge of washing, waxing, and polishing floors
- Operating cleaning equipment
- Physical requirements and working conditions:
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of
force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
