Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assess their automotive parts needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Provide detailed product information, including specifications and compatibility, to assist customers in making informed decisions
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for accurate sales processing, cash handling, and order fulfillment
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting inventory management tasks, and ensuring proper organization using tools like CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Assist with vehicle diagnostics and maintenance recommendations based on customer descriptions or vehicle issues
- Negotiate prices and terms with customers to ensure mutual satisfaction while meeting sales targets
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries, placing orders, or providing technical support
- Support dealership or retail sales initiatives through marketing efforts and upselling techniques
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient stock management, order fulfillment, and overall store organization
- Uphold safety standards by adhering to maintenance protocols and ensuring the cleanliness of the work area
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive repair, automotive service, or dealership environments is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair processes
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, POS software, Microsoft Excel, and retail math principles
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, inventory control, and order fulfillment
- Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining positive customer relationships
- Experience with CMMS or similar maintenance management tools is advantageous
- Strong math skills necessary for retail math calculations and cash handling procedures
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with phone etiquette proficiency
- Valid driver’s license preferred; dealership experience is a plus but not mandatory
