Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role located in Hingham, MA. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, interpreting project blueprints, sourcing materials, and collaborating with vendors and subcontractors. The position also involves reviewing project specifications, managing bid proposals, and ensuring all estimates align with budgetary requirements and timelines. Effective communication and coordination with project managers and engineers will be key aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cost estimation, blueprint interpretation, and construction project analysis
- Experience in working with vendors, subcontractors, and material sourcing
- Strong skills in mathematical calculations, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
- Familiarity with construction software and tools for cost estimation
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus
- Previous experience in an estimation role within the construction industry is highly preferred
