Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service and supporting your community’s healthcare needs? MCHC is seeking a Patient Services Representative (Float) to join our team. In this flexible role, you’ll support clinic operations by covering shifts at all four of our clinic locations as needed, including two clinics in Ukiah, one in Willits, and one in Lakeport. As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming, supportive, and efficient experience across our sites.
About the Role
As a Float PSR, you’ll greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments, and support front office operations wherever coverage is needed. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, dependable, enjoys variety in their workday, and is committed to delivering high-quality service to patients across multiple communities.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, courtesy, and warmth.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments, including follow-up visits.
- Verify insurance eligibility and guide patients through financial assistance options.
- Assist patients with registration, forms, and use of the patient portal.
- Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Maintain and update patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Ensure reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Adapt quickly to different clinic workflows while maintaining excellent service and teamwork.
What We’re Looking For

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Flexibility and reliability to travel between clinic locations in Ukiah, Willits, and Lakeport as needed.
- Experience with scheduling, insurance, or medical office work preferred.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Other Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years’ experience in healthcare, in a similar position or in another industry, in a customer service role
- Bilingual, English/Spanish, fluent
