Summary:
As a Broker specializing in Professional Lines, you will play a pivotal role in connecting clients with tailored insurance solutions that protect their professional liabilities. Your primary objective is to understand the unique risks faced by professionals and businesses, providing expert advice and negotiating optimal coverage terms. You will manage complex client portfolios, ensure accuracy and compliance while fostering long-term relationships built on trust and accountability. This role demands a proactive approach to risk management and sales, requiring you to stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the financial security and success of your clients by delivering comprehensive and competitive insurance products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their professional insurance needs and risk exposures.
- Analyze client information and industry data to recommend appropriate professional lines insurance products and coverage options.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with insurance carriers to secure the best possible agreements for clients.
- Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate processing of insurance applications, renewals, and claims.
- Stay current with industry developments, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks to provide informed advice and maintain compliance.
- Collaborate with underwriters to facilitate smooth policy issuance and claims resolution.
- Utilize effective communication and networking skills to expand the client base and identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation to support risk assessments, policy management, and audit requirements.
- Other duties, projects, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Insurance, or a related field (Preferred)
- 2-4 years of underwriting or brokering of professional lines coverage (preferred)
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and professional liability insurance products.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional insurance certifications such as CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) or equivalent.

- Experience working with a diverse client portfolio.
