Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Automotive Painter to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces through thorough sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply automotive paint using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment, maintaining consistent coverage and color matching
- Perform surface preparation tasks including cleaning, sanding, and masking to achieve a smooth, blemish-free finish
- Conduct auto body repairs such as dent removal, welding, and minor panel replacements as needed before painting
- Buff and polish painted surfaces to achieve a high-gloss, professional appearance while removing imperfections
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for surface finishing, grinding, and detailing tasks
- Follow safety protocols by using respiratory protection and other personal protective equipment during painting and surface preparation processes
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or automotive painting experience with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Knowledge of auto body repair techniques including welding, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance
- Proficiency in surface preparation masking, buffing, and detailing techniques for automotive refinishing
- Experience with conventional spraying methods as well as airless paint spraying systems
- Familiarity with auto glass installation and auto estimating processes is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and auto body repair procedures
- Ability to operate grinders, power tools, hand tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and finishes
- Additional mechanic experience or auto restoration skills are advantageous for this role
