Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and/or CNC lathes to machine aircraft components and production parts
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Measure parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards required for aviation manufacturing
- Perform tool changes, machine adjustments, and routine equipment checks
- Deburr and inspect finished components to ensure compliance with specifications
- Document production and inspection results as required
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with shop safety standards
- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet manufacturing schedules
- Experience operating manual or CNC lathe equipment in a machining or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machining instructions
- Experience using precision measurement tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle materials
- Previous experience in aerospace or aviation manufacturing
- Experience working with tight tolerance machining
- Familiarity with production manufacturing environments
- Basic knowledge of machining setup and troubleshooting
