Laborer needed for a leading Northwest Indiana residential home builder. The individual must be physically capable of doing manual labor, see the entire scope of work, possess a common-sense approach to work efficiently and with consideration for the entire construction team, take instructions well, and also work independently, ask questions, and think on their feet. Pay $18.00 -$20.00 per hour, based on experience & qualifications.
Job Description:
- Perform all labor on an as-needed basis, from jobsite to jobsite and from subdivision to subdivision; including, but not limited to, lifting, moving, digging, shoveling, sweeping, power washing, vacuuming, driving, and walking.
- Lay protective covering on floors as needed.
- Continually clean up the jobsite throughout construction of new residential homes.
- Lay out and remove ground heater during winter months for foundation pouring and curing.
- Move various types of extra materials from jobsite to jobsite or from jobsite to storage.
- Remove and discard various types of scrap materials from the jobsite into dumpsters.
- Move and load furniture to and from model homes and/or storage facility.
- Make deliveries and pick up materials as needed.
- Provide labor support to the project manager on an as-needed basis.
Requirements:
- Previous labor experience in residential construction is desired.
- Valid Driver’s License and clear driving record.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
