Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure
- Conduct repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and mechanical components
- Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions
- Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Assist with residential painting projects and other cosmetic maintenance tasks to enhance property appearance
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Supervise or assist with subcontractors or junior team members during complex projects or repairs
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or residential building upkeep
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience and familiarity with schematics
- Ability to operate specialized tools including welders, ohmmeters, and PLCs effectively
- Basic understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork
- Supervising experience is preferred to lead small teams or oversee contractors during projects
- Knowledge of CMMS software for scheduling and tracking maintenance work
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
