Job Summary
The Trucking Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for supporting daily transportation operations by handling customer communication, processing Bills of Lading (BOLs), and managing shipment paperwork. This role ensures accurate documentation, timely data entry, and strong coordination between drivers, dispatch, and customers to support smooth freight movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and review Bills of Lading (BOLs) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Enter shipment data into the Transportation Management System (TMS) and related software
- Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding shipment status, documentation, and questions
- Scan, upload, and organize shipment paperwork (BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations, invoices)
- Resolve discrepancies in paperwork and follow up on missing or incorrect documents
- Coordinate with dispatch, billing, and operations teams to ensure timely processing
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Provide general customer service support and issue resolution as needed
Requirements
