At McD, our creative department is a sagacious team of wise, creative wizards, looking to lead the charge against our client’s marketing challenges. We’re about a few simple things: working hard, having a blast, and delivering creative so hot it melts your face off. (Figuratively speaking, of course.) We’re in need of a graphic designer with a wide range of skills to complement the talents of our existing team. This is a broad role, encompassing various aspects of the creative and production process.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a graphic designer for McDaniels Marketing, you'll be working in a fast-paced environment as a part of a highly talented creative team developing stand out creative for our clients. You'll learn all aspects of creating advertising design in all types of media. Our goal is to help you learn hands-on what it takes to build a final product but also get the opportunity to help shape the strategy behind it.
What You'll Be Doing
- Concepting and designing brand logos/packages, print ads, brochures, guides, websites, digital ads, eblasts, displays, videos and animations.
- Hands-on experience working directly with the Creative Director and other members of our team.
- Final production work creating multiple projects and often teaming with another designer or art director
- Supporting the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce with graphic design and content for their website and social media organic and paid strategy along with some event including photography.
- Performing any additional administrative tasks needed by the creative and marketing departments such as taking responsibility for our printed samples library and file archival system.
Qualifications
- 4 year graphic design degree (BA or BS)
- Previous experience with web or application design
- Experience and high skill level in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and other Adobe programs
- A working knowledge of website content management systems including WordPress
- Strong communication skills and organized self-starter
- Team-oriented to help us arrive at the best solutions for our clients
