Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated General Laborer to assist with various excavation and construction tasks. This position requires physical strength, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Prior experience is preferred but not required; however, a willingness to learn and follow safety protocols is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist operators and crew members with excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Use hand tools (shovels, rakes, picks, etc.) to support excavation work.
- Help with setting up and maintaining safety barriers, signage, and other protective measures.
- Perform general site cleanup, including debris removal and backfilling trenches.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance and inspections as needed.
- Work in various weather conditions and environments, ensuring job tasks are completed efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, work on your feet for extended periods, and perform strenuous tasks.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors and equipment operators.
- Team player mindset with a strong work ethic and dependability.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and their safe operation (preferred but not required).
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to our shop and/or job sites.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
- Prior experience in construction or excavation (preferred but not required).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
