Job Description:
Job Title: Residence Life Student Worker
Effective Date: 08/16/2026
Reports to: Residence Life Operations Manager
Department: Residence Life
Rate of Pay: Maryland Minimum Wage
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
Location of Position: Elderdice Hall, McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, MD 21157
Duration of Appointment: August 5, 2026 to May 25, 2026
Schedule: Schedule is at discretion of supervisor
Evaluation Procedures: Student workers are evaluated on a continuous basis.
Scope: Provide administrative support for Residence Life.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service during phone and face to face interactions
- Assists with special projects/programs
- Running errands to other departments on campus
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Current student at McDaniel College.
- Has Federal Work Study as part of a Financial Aid Package.
- Able to use Word, email, internet
- Strong communication and human relations skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to accurately assess and handle phone calls, visitor requests, etc., with discretion and a positive attitude
- Discretion and reliability in sensitive and confidential matters are vital
