DB Legal Support provides operational and administrative support services to plaintiff-side law firms, including McCune Law Group, APC. Our intake team plays a critical role in ensuring individuals seeking legal help receive timely, compassionate, and professional assistance from their very first interaction.
We are currently seeking an on-site Intake Specialist to support McCune Law Group’s intake operations in the Rancho Mirage area.
Job Summary
The Intake Specialist serves as the first point of contact for individuals seeking legal assistance on behalf of McCune Law Group. This role is responsible for managing inbound and outbound calls, conducting intake screenings, evaluating case viability using established criteria, and guiding qualified clients through the retainer-signing process.
This position requires a high level of empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail while accurately documenting client and case information in the firm’s intake systems, including Litify and Case Compass. The Intake Specialist works closely with attorneys, paralegals, the Intake Manager, and the Marketing & Intake Integration Manager to ensure efficient case routing and data accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct intake screenings via phone and online submissions using structured scripts and eligibility criteria
- Accurately document client information, case details, and required data in Litify/Case Compass (98–100% accuracy expected)
- Execute intake workflows, including campaign attribution and follow-up tasks
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with prospective clients regarding next steps and firm processes
- Collaborate with legal staff to route qualified cases for review
- Maintain clean and accurate intake data to support reporting and performance tracking
- Meet performance standards related to response times, documentation accuracy, and qualified case rates
- Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and workflow updates
- Identify issues or concerns and escalate appropriately
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs
Qualifications
College education preferred
Experience in intake, customer service, legal, healthcare, education, call centers, or similar environments strongly preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle emotional or urgent callers with professionalism and discretion
High attention to detail and comfort working in structured workflows
Ability to learn and use CRM and case management systems (Litify experience preferred)
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
Work Location
This is an on-site position based in the Rancho Mirage, CA area
Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role
Compensation
Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
Pay is determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity
Overtime will be paid in accordance with California law
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks and handling phone calls
- Ability to communicate clearly via phone and in person
- Ability to move within the office and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds
