What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Office Treatment Coordinator/Reception position at McCue Dental Health?
Are you a dental professional who thrives on organization, patient relationships, and the "puzzle" of insurance and scheduling? We are a family and cosmetic-focused practice in Wauwatosa looking for a dedicated Treatment & Patient Care Coordinator to join our team.
Because we are a single-doctor office, this is a pivotal role. You aren't just answering phones; you are the architect of our schedule and the guide who helps patients navigate their treatment from diagnosis to completion.
Why Join Us?
- Modern Environment: Work in a beautiful, fully remodeled office with state-of-the-art equipment.
- Comprehensive Dentistry: We aren't just "prophy and fill." We perform everything from Implant Placement and Endodontics to Full Mouth Rehab and TMJ therapy. You will learn and manage high-level, life-changing cases.
- Work-Life Balance: Our schedule is strictly Monday through Thursday, giving you a consistent three-day weekend. We are done by 3:00 on Thursdays!
- Stress-Free Commute: We have dedicated on-site parking and a ground level building for our staff.
- Supportive Team: You will work alongside a skilled doctor, two excellent hygienists, and a collaborative clinical assistant.
Key Responsibilities
- Treatment Coordination: Presenting treatment plans and helping patients understand their clinical needs and financial options.
- Schedule Optimization: Managing the flow of a single-doctor/dual-hygiene practice to maximize production and minimize "dead air."
- Insurance Management: Filing claims, tracking EOBs, and verifying benefits within Eaglesoft practice management software.
- Financial Tracking: Collecting payments, managing accounts receivable, and performing end-of-day processing.
- Patient Advocacy: Being the friendly, knowledgeable first point of contact for our patients
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous dental front-office experience is required.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Eaglesoft practice management software is highly preferred.
- Clinical Knowledge: Must be comfortable discussing procedures like root canals, implants, and crowns (you don't need to be an assistant, but you must know the "why" behind the treatment).
- Attributes: We are looking for a "self-starter" who notices gaps in the schedule and fills them, and who treats our patients like family.
