Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Square POS and handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment efficiently.
- Develop and suggest beverage recipes or modifications to meet guest preferences and current trends.
- Collaborate with management to ensure seamless service during busy periods or special events like banquets or catering functions.
Requirements
- 21 years of age or older.
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or high-volume settings; hospitality industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square for processing transactions accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking between serving drinks, taking orders, and handling cash register duties.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales and cash handling.
- Experience working in restaurant or banquet environments; catering experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills coupled with a passion for hospitality excellence.
