Duties
- Assist funeral directors with coordinating funeral and memorial services, including event planning and setup
- Provide bereavement support to families, offering comfort and guidance throughout the process
- Handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when preparing remains or transporting caskets
- Drive funeral vehicles responsibly, ensuring timely and safe transportation of loved ones
- Manage administrative records, including documentation of services, client records, and records management systems
- Communicate effectively with families, providing clear information and compassionate client service
- Support on-call coverage to respond promptly to urgent requests or last-minute arrangements
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple events smoothly
- Excellent customer service and client communication skills to support grieving families with sensitivity
- Experience in funeral & mortuary services, including funeral directing and event coordination
- Knowledge of safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques to ensure safety during heavy lifting tasks

- Administrative experience for record keeping, documentation, and event planning tasks
- Valid driving license with a clean record for responsible transportation duties
- Willingness to provide on-call coverage as needed for emergency or last-minute arrangements
