About the Role and Responsibilities:
McCourt Partners is looking for an analytical, inquisitive, and strong-minded Associate to help expand our real estate efforts. The Associate will be responsible for independently running and managing deal processes, reviewing acquisitions and overseeing all Real Estate team initiatives. The Associate will work with the investments and development team to analyze new opportunities, asset dispositions, financing structures and development management, and support senior-level decision-making. This is a unique opportunity to be on the investment team of a fast-growing development platform.
Responsibilities:
- Underwrite new investments in operating real estate assets and new development opportunities
- Assist with day-to-day workstreams on new acquisitions, dispositions and refinancing
- Assist with asset management and portfolio management workstreams to support senior-level decision-making
- Perform in-depth diligence on a wide range of opportunities
- Prepare cash flow models, incorporating analyses such as distribution waterfalls, sensitivity matrices, IRR, and NPV
- Assist in development efforts for new and ongoing projects
- Prepare investment committee memos, presentations and related support material

The Associate will require strong communication and writing skills to convey complex ideas in concise ways. The candidate will also possess excellent financial modeling skills and an extensive understanding of diligence execution. Candidates who are detail-oriented, thorough, analytical and results-driven will thrive at McCourt Partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required with a preference for a degree in real estate, finance, business, economics, or mathematics
- Master’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field highly preferred
- 3 years of real estate/market analysis experience in private equity or investment banking. US market experience required
- Must be able to build cash flow models for all asset types and financing scenarios
- Strong communicator who can concisely summarize complex ideas
- High proficiency in Excel, Argus and PowerPoint
