Night Shift Pipe Welder – Houston Shop

We are currently seeking an experienced Night Shift Pipe Welder to join our Houston Shop team.
Responsibilities
- Perform pipe welding primarily in the 1G position and successfully pass a 6G welding test.
- Lay out, fit, and weld pipe, including offsets, bends, and radiuses.
- Assemble and install hangers, pipe, and fittings using couplings, clamps, flanges, bolts, ProPress, soldering, brazing, and tack welding.
- Use cutting torches to cut and bevel steel pipe.
- Install piping systems including:
- Chilled Water
- Heating Water
- Refrigeration
- Condensate
- Steam
- Condenser Water
- Read and interpret contract drawings, shop drawings, and piping details.
- Perform material takeoffs and assist with project planning.
- Complete pipe testing and flushing in accordance with project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of commercial or industrial pipe welding experience.
- Ability to pass a 6G pipe welding test.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must provide your own trade tools.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and work ethic.
