Position Summary

McCormick Taylor has an immediate opening for a Traffic Engineer III. The ideal candidate will work as part of a team on a variety of traffic analysis and design needs for a variety of transportation projects for public agencies. Projects are likely to range from concept development and preliminary engineering studies to final design.

Job Responsibilities

• Signing and pavement marking design
• Traffic signal design
• Traffic impact analysis
• Capacity and operational analysis
• Traffic simulation modeling
• Crash /safety studies
• Opportunities to lead traffic tasks and grow into project management

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineering License Required
• 7-12 years of experience or equivalent working knowledge/experience in the field of traffic engineering
• Experience and knowledge of agency guidelines and requirements is preferred
• Ability to prioritize assignments
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Hands-on experience with common traffic engineering software including Synchro, and HCS (VISSIM a plus)
• Experience working in MicroStation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
