Overview
The Country Club of Asheville is seeking a Banquet Captain to join our team. This position will be in charge of the banquet service function at the club and will supervise banquet service personnel to assure member and guest satisfaction through proper food and beverage service and presentation.
This is a full-time position and offers benefits, including medical, life, and dental insurance, paid time off (PTO), 401(k), and a complimentary staff meal each day worked.
Responsibilities
- Works with the Food and Beverage Manager, Banquet Chef, and others to schedule and coordinate personnel requirements.
- Develops detailed plans for each catered event in conjunction with the club’s function committee (Food and Beverage Director, Executive Chef and Director of Catering).
- Diagrams buffet tables, guest tables and other functions room set-up needs for special events.
- Holds pre-shift meetings with servers and bartenders to ensure smooth, efficient service; assigns servers and bartenders stations and coordinates the timing of courses.
- Ensures that all banquet staff is well-groomed and in proper uniform and name tags.
- Assures proper inventory of all banquet server equipment and supplies to meet required needs
- Acts as Head Waiter at special, private functions and may greet and seat guests as necessary
- Handles complaints/comments.
- Trains and supervises banquet service staff
- Regularly inspects all front- and back-of-the-house service areas and equipment to assure that sanitation, safety, energy management, preventive maintenance and other standards for the department are met
- Attends weekly BEO meetings.
Salary Range
USD $18.00 - USD $19.00 /Hr.Salary : $18 - $19
