Overview
Reports to Warehouse Supervisor
Plan and execute assigned orders to exceed customer expectations, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain profitability for McCollister’s and its members.
Works as part of the McCollister’s warehouses to load, unload, and distribute freight and equipment to meet customer and warehouse requirements.
Responsibilities
- Track and Trace Shipments: Monitor shipments from entry through billing, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Update Shipment Status: Provide daily updates on the status of shipments.
- Research and Resolve Issues: Investigate and resolve delivery, status, and billing problems.
- Distribute Order Tickets: Efficiently distribute order tickets throughout operations.
- Maintain Operational Log: Keep an updated log of operational challenges.
- Handle freight properly to maximize efficiency and exceed customer expectations.
- Protect customer products, equipment, and facilities.
- Identify problems to the crew leader and supervisor.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklift.
- Handle van equipment.
- Asset scanning system.
- Paperwork and(un)load documents. This includes inbounding and out-bounding on AS400/KOERBER/ MICROSOFT SMARTSHEETS
- Assists with loading of trucks with freight and equipment from our warehouse.
- Upon arrival or return to McCollister's warehouse,assist the driver with removal of all trash and dunnage which includes putting cardboard into the compactor. Folds blankets and puts away tools, straps, and other installation equipment.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
Education
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- Aminimum2 years’ warehouse experience and be proficient at loading, unloading, receiving, and paperwork management.
- Experience handling freight and equipment is a plus
- Forklift experience is needed
- Ability to lift 75lbs
- Positive communication skills
- Competent computer skills
- Candidate must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Must be organized and office experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
- Proficient at data entry.
- Proven track record of working in a team environment and autonomously
