A well-regarded regional firm is expanding its Construction Litigation practice and seeking a junior associate to join a group being built from the ground up. This is a genuine ground-floor opportunity with strong mentorship, real visibility, and long-term upside.
The Role
You'll support two junior partners on a mix of litigation and pre-litigation matters across the construction and surety space, including:
- Public and private construction disputes
- Payment and performance bond claims
- Indemnity actions, delay claims, and defect claims
- Contract drafting and pre-litigation transactional work
- Discovery, motion practice, pleadings, and court appearances
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of litigation experience
- Construction or real estate litigation background is a plus β not a requirement
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience with discovery, motion practice, or court appearances preferred
- NY admission required; NJ admission a plus
- Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine interest in building a practice in this space
The Setup
- Based on Long Island; NYC office may be considered for the right candidate
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote
