Position Overview
The Senior Accountant Audit performs audit and financial reporting work with increasing independence and technical proficiency. Reporting to a Supervisor or Manager, this role is responsible for executing complex audit procedures, drafting financial statements, and supporting client relationships through clear communication and quality service.
Senior Accountants serve as key contributors on engagement teams—balancing accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration. They also assist in developing Staff Accountants through on-the-job training and feedback, while continuously strengthening their own technical expertise and professional judgment. Key Responsibilities
· Perform detailed audit testing and analytical procedures for assigned engagement areas, in accordance with firm methodology and professional standards.
· Draft financial statements and related footnotes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with GAAP and client expectations.
· Gather, organize, and evaluate client information; complete planning and risk assessments under supervision.
· Communicate proactively with Supervisors and Managers regarding progress, issues, and status updates.
· Apply knowledge and experience gained from prior engagements to improve audit quality and efficiency.
· Demonstrate strong time management and organization skills, meeting deadlines within budgeted time.
· Serve as a point of contact for clients to address general questions and information requests.
· Assist in training, coaching, and mentoring Staff Accountants, sharing knowledge and reinforcing best practices.
· Continue professional growth by actively engaging with the firm’s Learning & Development (L&D) Dashboard, demonstrating progress in technical expertise, audit proficiency, and overall professional development.
· Attend and contribute to departmental Level 10 (L10) meetings, providing updates on responsibilities and supporting progress toward team goals
· Participate actively in department meetings, firm initiatives, and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) opportunities.
· Contribute to process improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance engagement workflow and client service delivery.

· Perform additional duties as assigned to support client service and firm operations.
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred.
· 3–5 years of public accounting experience, with proven proficiency in audit and financial statement preparation.
· Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, auditing standards, and financial reporting requirements.
· Experience supervising or reviewing the work of junior staff preferred.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit software applications.
· Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and adherence to ethical standards.
