CMM Operator - 2nd shift

Job Title:

CMM Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to set-up and operate CMMs
• Develop and maintain CMM programs to support First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections using PC-DMIS/Calypso/Verisurf software
• Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications as needed to ensure CMM programs measure and record all necessary implicit and explicit customer requirements
• Complete first article inspection documentation in accordance with AS9102
• Maintain AS9100 standards
• Create non-conformance reports as necessary
• Maintain excellent communications and working relationships with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Production
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Degree/Certificate from college or technical school
• 3-5 years' experience preferred; or an equivalent combination or education and experience
• Proficient in CMM programming PC-DMIS/Calypso
• Strong understanding of blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and Form, Fit, and Function principles
• Understanding of AS9102 First Article Inspection process
• Proficient in 3D CAD Software
• Inspection Methods and Techniques, including GD&T application and interpretation
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledgeable and experienced in manufacturing processes
• Works well independently and in a team environment in a fast paced, deadline driven, diverse environment
• Work on site is required
• Aerospace industry knowledge a plus

Working conditions:

Working conditions consist primarily of shop floor environment. Other than safety glasses and closed-toed shoes, additional personal protective equipment is generally not required. May be required to lift and negotiate up to 60 pounds. Overtime may be required to accommodate priorities and deadlines.
