Key Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Identify issues and determine appropriate solutions or next steps
- Assist with emergency maintenance situations as needed
Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when specialized work is required
- Schedule service calls and ensure work is completed as expected
- Communicate status updates to management
Preventive Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of properties and building systems
- Identify potential maintenance concerns before they escalate
- Assist with seasonal maintenance and property readiness
- Help maintain maintenance schedules and checklists
Communication & Reporting
- Communicate clearly with management regarding maintenance issues, timelines, and outcomes
- Maintain basic records of work performed and follow-up needed
- Interact professionally with residents, owners, and guests when applicable
On-Call & Availability
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours or weekend maintenance needs
- Respond professionally to urgent issues when scheduled
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field
- General knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances)
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with residential or multi-unit properties
- Familiarity with coordinating vendors or contractors
- Basic computer or smartphone skills for communication and documentation
