JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experience with passenger service tires.
- Inspect and test vehicles. Complete preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, and replacing filters.
- Maintain vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; and replacing parts and components.
- Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
- Keep shop equipment operational by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; and calling for repairs.
- Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Keep a clean service area.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION
- High School Degree or GED.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age of 18.
- Valid drivers license.
- State Inspection license.
- Must have own tools.
