We're seeking a detail-oriented and driven Accounting Clerk to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting principles, a high level of accuracy, and is proficient in various accounting software. This role will be integral to our day-to-day financial operations and will contribute to the overall financial health of our organization.
You'd Be a Strong Candidate If You Have:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency with accounting software such as [e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite , QuickBooks or comparable applications].
- Skills in Microsoft Office / Google Suites, especially Excel, Google Sheets / Docs .
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively with the finance team.
What You'll Do:
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, verifying approval, and reconciling customer and vendor statements.
- Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations with high accuracy.
- Journal Entries: Process journal entries to support the month-end closing process.
- Data Entry and Record Keeping: Enter financial transactions into our accounting software and maintain accurate and well-organized financial records and files.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, reports, and summaries.
- Problem-Solving: Communicate with vendors and customers to research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Administrative Support: Provide general support to the senior members of the accounting department and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive financial information with a high degree of confidentiality.
