McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., is seeking Electrical Helpers for the construction of a solar facility located in Kiowa, CO. McCarthy is looking for team members that have a proven commitment to safety, are accustomed to working outdoors, and can be committed to a full-time schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist electricians with installing and wiring electrical panels
• Help with conduit runs, wire pulls, and terminations
• Support remediation, repair, and maintenance activities
• Perform underground electrical work as directed
• Support layout and installation of conduit runs per site standards.
• Attention to safety, detail, and quality.
• Team-focused.
• Willingness to learn, be coachable, and be growth-minded.
• Listen, follow directions, and ask questions.
• Reliable: show up on time and eager to perform every day.
• Be professional when communicating with all team members.
• Write Task Hazard Analysis (THA) to prevent/mitigate injuries.
• Identify potential safety hazards as they arise.
• Clearly understand and follow work plans.
• Communicate inconsistencies/issues to a supervisor immediately.
• Take pride in the work while maintaining a positive attitude.

Qualifications:

• Experience with solar construction projects preferred but not required.
• Prior experience using various tools that are required to install electrical components.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling of material weighing 50 lbs.
• Ability to squat, crawl and work in awkward positions and confined spaces.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation.
• Unrestricted use of hands, arms, shoulders, upper/lower back, visual acuity, depth, and color perception.
• Self-motivated and takes initiative.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Age 18
