Role Description
This is a full-time (36 hours per week), on-site Lead Warehouse Associate position based in Carlisle, PA. This role is hands-on and focused on supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inbounding, stocking, staging, and pulling orders.
As a Lead Warehouse Associate, you’ll help keep the team aligned with the day’s plan, communicate workflow needs to management, and provide insight on ways to improve organization and maximize efficiency. You will also assist with marketing one-off or limited‑quantity items by posting them on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, helping move unique inventory quickly and accurately.
Inventory accuracy is a critical part of this role. You’ll help ensure products are counted, documented, and stored correctly so the warehouse stays organized and customers receive the right materials.
This position also offers opportunities for growth as McCarren Supply expands. The Lead Warehouse Associate may support operations or training at additional warehouse locations as needed.
This is not a supervisory or managerial position. Instead, it is a trusted, experienced role that leads by example and supports the team in maintaining accuracy, safety, and productivity throughout the warehouse.
Qualifications
- Experience in a warehouse, distribution, or material‑handling environment preferred but not required
- Familiarity with receiving, stocking, packing, unloading, and inbounding processes
- Ability to operate or learn material‑handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
- Good organizational habits and attention to detail
- Reliability, consistency, and a strong work ethic
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices
- Ability to identify workflow issues and offer practical suggestions for improvement
- Comfortable lifting 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Able to stay active throughout the day (standing, walking, bending, and moving materials)
- Basic comfort with posting items online (Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist) and communicating clearly with customers when needed
