POSITION SUMMARY: The COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT – Looking for a hands-on leader who is well-trained to work effectively with a rand of personalities while ensuring that deadlines are met. A conscientious Project Superintendent with exceptional scheduling and planning skills and committed to ensuring that all work complies with contract project scope of work. Someone who’s focused on maximizing quality, project compliance and efficiency while meeting budget and design guidelines. Also, needs to demonstrate strategic thinking and confident decision-making abilities for superior project performance.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Subcontractor Scheduling and Supervision Hand & Power Tool Operation
- Cost Tracking Equipment Safety Verification * Supply Requisition Safe Operating Procedures
- Detail Focused Multitasking & Prioritization * Plan Modifications and Takeoffs Worker Supervision
- Environmental Compliance Multi-Project Coordination * Labor Management Supply Ordering
- Conflict Mediation Assignment Delegation * Specification and Blueprint Interpretation Equipment Operation
- Blueprint Reading Checking Equipment * Quality Control Programs Verbal & Written Communication
- Site Delay Investigation Specification Performance * Incident Investigation Meeting Schedule Deadlines
- Construction Scheduling OSHA Compliance * Problem Solving Inspections
- Job Planning Company Safety Policies * Site Inspection Permit Understanding
- Coordinate Project Operations Site Measuring & Marking * Documentation & Reporting Capabilities Staff Training and Mentoring
- Crew Oversight & Team Leadership Team Leadership * Attending all Project Meetings Daily Job Reporting Attention to detail, initiative-taking and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years Construction Management experience
- AIA Document knowledge a must
- Strong communication & personal skills
- Excellent time management and planning
- Organizational skills are critical
