What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator Lead position at McCannel Eye Clinic?
McCannel Eye Clinic, founded by Dr. Malcolm McCannel in 1949, has an immediate opening for a full-time patient coordinator lead in Edina, MN.
The candidate we are looking for must have excellent skills in customer service, be detail oriented, and able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment. We are also looking for an individual who is personable, loves to work with people, and has great written and verbal communication skills. Management and leadership experience required. Experience in ophthalmology is a plus, but not required.
Duties include: attending to incoming phone calls and voicemails, scheduling appointments, processing contact lens orders from a variety of sources, documenting in patient’s charts, verifying insurance benefits and notifying patients of deductibles/copays, prepping charts for upcoming appointments, medical records requests, pulling and filing charts, checking in and out patients at the front desk, scanning correspondence into patient's charts, distributing incoming faxes and mail, employee task scheduling/delegation, participating in task force meetings, acting as the point of contact for the front desk department, and other clerical duties as needed pertaining to the contact lens and front desk departments.
