Client Finance Analyst
Reporting into: Client Finance Manager
Location: New York, NY
Your Role:
As a Client Finance Analyst at McCann New York, you will partner with account teams to manage the financial health of client engagements, ensuring accuracy in billing, reporting, and forecasting. You will maintain reliable project data, monitor financial performance, and support audits and compliance, all while helping drive efficiency and profitability across accounts.
What You Do:
- Partner with account teams to manage financial aspects of client engagements, including job openings, estimates, purchase orders, and billing.
- Oversee client billing – requesting, reviewing, and reconciling invoices to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with client contracts.
- Monitor WIP and unbilled balances, proactively resolving outstanding issues.
- Support client audits by providing required documentation and addressing inquiries.
- Track and analyze project performance, highlighting variances and risks.
- Maintain accurate project data in financial systems, ensuring compliance with policies and agreements.
- Support revenue recognition processes and ensure accurate reporting in line with corporate guidelines.
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses to inform profitability reviews.
- Assist with quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and client profitability analysis.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
What You Bring:
- Ability to manage multiple projects with short-term deadlines.
- Experience in the advertising and/or media industry preferred.
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with a quick learning ability for financial systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- 1-3 years of finance or accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred.

Location:
McCann New York team members must reside in or be willing to relocate to the New York Tristate area unless otherwise agreed upon by their manager and McCann New York’s Human Resources team. McCann New York is a hybrid workplace with three days in-office per week.
Salary Range:
Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000. Salary ranges depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
