McCann’s Medical is a family-owned, local business that has served Oregon and Southwest Washington for more than 50 years. We help seniors, people recovering from surgery or injury, individuals with disabilities, caregivers, and families find equipment that helps them stay safe, mobile, comfortable, and independent. We’re also at an exciting point in our company’s history.

While our commitment to personal, one-on-one service hasn’t changed, McCann’s is evolving. We’re modernizing our systems, expanding our e-commerce business, improving how our stores work together, and finding new ways to serve our customers both in person and online. You do not need a background in medical equipment to be successful here. Experience in retail, customer service, healthcare, senior services, hospitality, or another people-focused environment can translate well.This can also be a great opportunity for someone with significant professional or life experience who is looking for something different, engaging work with people, purpose, and plenty to learn.

What You'll Be Doing

A big part of your day will be spent helping customers and their families navigate products they may know very little about. You’ll listen, ask questions, explain options, demonstrate equipment, and help people find solutions that fit their needs.

You’ll also:

• Help customers with walkers, wheelchairs, lift chairs, mobility equipment, bathroom safety, compression, recovery products, and other home medical equipment
• Process retail sales, rentals, returns, and exchanges
• Explain product features and demonstrate how equipment works
• Answer phones and respond to customer questions
• Coordinate with our other McCann’s locations and delivery drivers
• Receive, stock, and merchandise inventory
• Assist with equipment assembly
• Help maintain an organized and welcoming showroom
• Learn and use the technology that supports our stores and growing e-commerce business

The role combines customer service, product education, retail operations, inventory, and hands-on problem solving. Because we’re a small business, there are days when everyone jumps in wherever they’re needed. Who We're Looking For

We care more about how you work with people than whether you already know the difference between a rollator and a transport chair, we can teach you that.

Most importantly, you should enjoy working with seniors and families. Sometimes the person walking through our door is having a difficult or overwhelming day. Patience, empathy, good judgment, and a willingness to find a solution can make a real difference.
