We think about the customer and make doing business with McCain easy.    McCain Foods is accepting applications for a Sr. Maintenance Manager position, to work at the Burley, Idaho plant. This role maintains all Maintenance Systems to drive continuous improvement of systems related to MDI, Maintenance Governance, Defect Handling, DDS, and Glide Path Additional Systems include; CMMS (Prometheus & SAP), Maintenance KPI’s, PSM, Maintenance Budgeting, Extra Ordinary Maintenance, and facility equipment in optimal operation condition.    Accountabilities: \tProvide directions for maintaining and operation of all physical equipment to ensure proper utilization. \tInvestigate and eliminate mechanical or maintenance problems, which would affect manufacturing schedules. \tTake timely and effective actions to control unfavorable expenditure trends, which would result in exceeding the maintenance and repair budget. \tDevelop subordinates to their fullest potential through training, progressive discipline programs. \tConduct special studies as assigned, or perform self-initiated studies designed to improve departmental and factory performance. \tPossess and keeps current on the most advanced information on manufacturing maintenance. \tMaintain open communications between departments and employees. \tCreate an environment that encourages BOS in your department. \tSPC Responsibilities for Managers and Supervisors: \tAs a member of the leadership team, your participation in the continuous improvement process is expected.  This includes taking an active role in process improvement initiatives, employee training, utilization of SPC for process improvement and upgrading your current skill base. \tMDI Process & Maintenance Governance, Defect Handling, DDS \tCMMS, which includes Prometheus Management, SAP Process, \tMaintenance KPI’s, MTBF, MTTR \tBoiler & Refrigeration Processes & PSM \tMaintenance Budgeting & Extraordinary Maintenance Projects \tSystems Capital Project Support \t  Qualifications: \tA Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is desirable. Additionally it is preferred the incumbent have up to five (5) years of experience directly related to food processing. \tFamiliarity with processing techniques.  Experienced in the development and maintenance of plant system documents, process flow sheets, block diagrams, schedules and spend tracking. Experience using AutoCAD. \tIncumbent must have a general working knowledge of all factory operations including raw product systems, processing, packaging, palletizing, freezing, steam generation, instrumentation, etc. \tAdministrative and computer skills would be very beneficial in this position. \tFive to ten years experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably in a food-processing environment is essential. \t  Skills: \tMaintains effective relationships with peers, direct staff, and hourly personnel \tTake timely and effective actions to control unfavorable expenditure trends.. \tIdentify and exploit opportunities to improve MTTR and MTBF, monitors downtime, department KPI’s, and trends. \tFollow the McCain safety, loss prevention and environmental programs by holding themselves and all team members accountable to its tenets \tMaintain environmental compliance by ensuring all equipment is adequately maintained and operating to design specifications \tDevelop housekeeping practices to obtain world-class standards \tCommunicate to inform, engage and inspire. Emphasizes communications as a tool to build collaboration and ensure organizational alignment \t  About McCain. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
