What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Maintenance Mechanic (Equipment/Truck/Small Engine) position at McAnany Construction?
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues by driving/operating company vehicles and equipment
- After receiving proper training, operate forklifts, extended boom forklifts, skid loaders,
other heavy equipment, and vehicles
- Order and pick up parts for repairs
- Make repairs to light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, vehicles, and heavy equipment
both in shop and in field
- Use electronic diagnostic tools
- Basic computer and internet operation skills
- Communicate effectively with drivers, operators, and supervisors
- Travel overnight and out of town to job sites as needed lodging and per diem provided.
- Class A CDL preferred
- Successful candidate must own a basic set of hand tools; contractor provides specialty
and diagnostic tools
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand 50% of working hours
- Ability to bend and lift bulky items
- Ability to maneuver underneath vehicles and equipment as needed
Work Environment/Conditions
- Non-temperature-controlled garage
- Outdoors on-site at projects
Pay: From $41.07 per hour
