About the Role
McAllen Valley Roofing is seeking a professional and dependable Administrative Assistant to support daily operations and ensure a smooth and efficient office environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable assisting across multiple departments to bridge communication and help coordinate cross-departmental task delegation.
This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience while maintaining a clean and organized office space.
Responsibilities
- Answer and route incoming phone calls and greet walk-in visitors in a professional manner
- Manage the front desk and maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
- Provide administrative support across all departments (operations, accounting, HR, sales, and project management)
- Help coordinate and delegate cross-departmental tasks and communications
- Process incoming mail, deliveries, and vendor correspondence
- Assist with scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining records
- Prepare reports, invoices, and other administrative documents
- Maintain digital and physical filing systems for easy retrieval of company documents
- Order and track office supplies and equipment as needed
- Support management with daily office needs and special projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or office support experience required
- Strong phone and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Compensation
Starting pay: $14 per hour, based on experience and performance.
Weekly pay schedule.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
